Back in late March, I had a day’s notice that the school building was closing. Of course, I didn’t know for how long that would be, so I needed to get my plants home. [Read more…] about How to Propagate Monsteras

It doesn’t look like much, but see?!
There are little specks of green in the upper left and lower right of this photo.
They are hydrangeas!
Last month when I went to prune my trees and bushes, I noticed that a twig on my hydrangea bush was starting to bud. Just for giggles, I dug a trench and buried the branch. Then Sunday, when I was out doing yard work, I noticed two little sprouts!
I’m interested to see if more come up, but I’m so happy with two. One will fill a blank space in the shady part of the back of the house and one will replace a hydrangea on the east side of my house that never quite took.
If more come up, don’t worry, I will find space for them! One can never have enough hydrangeas.
It was a beautiful Sunday and we enjoyed a lot of time outside.
Lucky for us, Jasper loves being outside. He is so calm outdoors.
One thing I enjoy about quarantine is front porch culture. We don’t have a porch so we hang out in our driveway and wave at people walking by or chat with our neighbor. When we go for walks we notice lots of people outside- more than ever before.
Somehow while we are farther apart, I feel more connected to my neighborhood.
I’ve had a lot of interest in Jasper’s Snuggle Bunny. Of all of my free patterns on Ravelry, it is already in the top half of most favorited patterns. 135 people have favorited it, but no documented projects yet.
I’m excited to see more finished projects! That is definitely my favorite part of offering free patterns, is seeing how other people are able to use them.
One question I’ve had is if I would share a picture of the bunny before it is knotted, so here it is:
The long center gets tied in an overhand knot that forms the head. There is no stuffing. It’s just a floppy, cuddly design.
Do you follow me on Facebook? I recently shared a video of Jasper playing with his bunny. He loves textures and is always playing with something. I think I am going to design a bobble sweater for him so he can play with the hem.
I didn’t think I would get to knit many things for my baby, having a boy, but I love that he seems to love everything I’ve made so far.
