I got a little brave and up and started a business.
I have been tech support on my Mom’s blog for more than a decade now, and I’ve been increasingly helpful with Country Threads. I really love doing it and want to help more people enjoy having a blog.
While I initially intended to help people start blogging, I am already doing much more. I’m living up to my Instagram bio:
I take the tech off your plate so you can create
I’ve set up Amazon shops, organized digital pattern downloads, refreshed already existing blogs, and auto-scheduled social media posts. This week I will be helping a client attract more readers to her blog and working out Google Analytics with another client.
It’s so refreshing to have goals to accomplish when I wake up every day. Not that keeping my baby alive, educated, and entertained are not good goals, but it is good to have personal goals too.
You might have noticed a new look around here. Of course, I am using my own blog as a sandbox for trying out new designs and techniques.
I’m nervous to invite you to check out my business pages because there isn’t much there yet. But it might be fun to watch me build it from the beginning! You can find me on my website, or on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you for encouraging me on my tiny little baby business journey!
Congratulations on your new fledgling business~ Someday, perhaps I will ask for assistance with a blog. Have the name/domain and that’s it girl!
Wishing you grand success
Hello and happy Sunday from Houston [sweaty hot and humid today:(]. Wanted to let you know I ordered items from Health Cultures based on reading one of your 2018 blogs and am looking forward to receiving them. My husband and I are both retired and during these pandemic times since March we have practiced “social distancing.” Prior to this I was pretty socially active but now have had to resort to being more creative with the extra time. I’ve wanted to male sour dough bread for quite awhile, and enjoy kombucha but didn’t have a scoby source to make my own. When these products arrive, along with the creme fraiche starter I’ll be into that as my new project!
Some how I found your mom’s blog and love reading it, and on her blog found your blog. So thank you Kayla and I’ll give you an update on how all of this goes. Loved seeing your home plant tour video and will have more comments/maybe questions after I re-look at it. Life is good!
