It doesn’t look like much, but see?!
There are little specks of green in the upper left and lower right of this photo.
They are hydrangeas!
Last month when I went to prune my trees and bushes, I noticed that a twig on my hydrangea bush was starting to bud. Just for giggles, I dug a trench and buried the branch. Then Sunday, when I was out doing yard work, I noticed two little sprouts!
I’m interested to see if more come up, but I’m so happy with two. One will fill a blank space in the shady part of the back of the house and one will replace a hydrangea on the east side of my house that never quite took.
If more come up, don’t worry, I will find space for them! One can never have enough hydrangeas.
It was a beautiful Sunday and we enjoyed a lot of time outside.
Lucky for us, Jasper loves being outside. He is so calm outdoors.
One thing I enjoy about quarantine is front porch culture. We don’t have a porch so we hang out in our driveway and wave at people walking by or chat with our neighbor. When we go for walks we notice lots of people outside- more than ever before.
Somehow while we are farther apart, I feel more connected to my neighborhood.
