My sweet baby continues to grow and has hit so many milestones in the last month. I have something to write in his calendar every day. One day he mastered “Giving fives” and the next he patted my back when I gave him a hug. Then he started crawling! What a sweet dude! This picture above is the first time he sat up on his own. He was so proud!
These are from a visit home to Mom’s. Kalissa always takes such great photos.
This baby loves being outside. He loves to be a part of whatever we are doing. Grilling, cleaning the tent, whatever.
Maybe it has something to do with being around his daddy? Jasper just LOVES Spencer. It is so sweet. He gets a glow in his eyes and locks on him wherever he goes. He wiggles and squeals when Spencer gets home from work.
He is still a picky eater, but a good one! He chows on oatmeal but hates almost everything else. I gave up on introducing vegetables first and tried applesauce. Nope.
Here he is trying biscuits. Success! Still just another carb, but I’m counting it as a success.
Just recently he started eating crackers and rice cakes. Peaches were almost a success but after about four little diced bits he changed his mind.
Jasper started childcare and I went to work in my classroom (not required- just a choice) for a few days the first week of August. I intended to work the whole week but on Wednesday I had gotten most of my work done and missed my baby! So I decided to take the rest of the week off.
Wednesday night I found out the start of school was being pushed back ten days so I got an extra week to spend with my boy! I’ll make up for it next summer, but for now it feels like a wonderful surprise.
I love being his Mom and can’t wait to see what news I will share at next month’s check-in. It’s time for me to go take care of other kids for a while. I’m happy to have wonderful childcare so I can go to work with confidence. I’m so blessed to have had all of the time I did with him.
